Back in the USA

Our 1st stop back in the USA was in El Centro, CA where we had stored our trailer while we were in Mexico. We spent several days/nights at a nice RV park called Rio Bend.

We are heading north towards Death Valley.  Our next stop for the night was at the China Ranch Date Farm.  You drove and drove over a desert landscape and then all of a sudden, there was an oasis.  Walked through the date palm orchard and shared a yummy date shake.

Pulled into an rv park in Beatty, NV and headed into Death Valley for the day.  Our first stop just outside the park was Rhyolite Ghost Town and an outdoor sculpture museum.  The wind was blowing, but helped keep it from being so hot.

Scotty’s Castle has a great story and is a beautiful castle that was built in one of the harshest deserts in the 1920’s.
