Back up the Baja

After 2 1/2 months in Los Barriles, we are heading north on Mex 1 to the border.  At sunrise, we met up with our traveling companions and began our first day of travel.  On Day 1, we went through 2 military stops.  There was some road construction, but we only had to wait approx. 1/2 hr.  We drove to San Ignatio and stayed again at the yurts.  On Day 2, we traveled to San Quintin and stayed at Jardines Baja Hotel.  This day we went through 4 military stops.  Day 3 was a short drive through wine country and we stayed at a beautiful winery hotel, Guadalupe Hacienda Hotel.  Enjoyed some wine tasting, dinner, pool time and had a beautiful full moon while relaxing in the hot tub.  On Day 4, we arrived in Tecate to a LONG line of traffic waiting to cross the border.  After waiting for 1 1/2 hours in line, it only took 2 minutes at the border.  Then we were back in the USA!!  Our trailer was being stored in El Centro while we were in Mexico…so we picked it up and had to do a bit of reorganization and continued on our journey.
