Leaving Apache Junction/Spending the night at the Q

After spending a total of about 3 weeks at the Santa Fe RV Park, we did have to leave. We met some good folks there who in a short time became good friends…Skip and Jill Jolley…thanks for making us feel right at home!! We’ll miss you and hopefully we will stay in touch and see each other again…looking forward to April in Death Valley!!

We drove through the day and pulled into the “Q” … otherwise known as the Quechan Casino west of Yuma. They have a LARGE parking lot just for trucks and rvs…there must have been about 200 or more trucks, trailers, motor homes, etc. parked out there in the gravel parking lot for the night. That morning, we giggled about the folks next to us who had a breakfast area all set up outside complete with carpet, table, chairs and had their robes on while drinking coffee. We ran into the casino for breakfast and the use of the restrooms. Headed to El Centro to store our trailer for the months were are in Mexico. We are a little concerned with whether our trailer will still be standing…so keep your fingers crossed! Drove onto our hotel in San Diego where we will meet up with our Baja travel buddies, Vern and Joan Schneider.
