We have spent the last week at the Desert Skies RV Resort in Mesquite, NV. The temps are a bit warmer here on the edge of the desert and we did not want to get too far south since we are going up to Layton, UT for Thanksgiving. Very excited to see family…Bri, Tymon, my parents, my sister, Becky and family, my brother, Greg and family, and brother, Walt will be meeting us in Layton at brothers, John and Steve and family for the Thanksgiving holiday.
This has been a nice week to just relax…the sunshine helped also…we have gone up to the pool at the resort to get some sun rays and splashing in. Each morning we have gone to the fitness room to work out a bit before showering and getting ready for the day. The casinos have not gotten too much of our money…:) and we have taken in some of the entertainment. We did take a nice walk out onto the desert…very different from the national parks that we have been at. Hey…did see a roadrunner 🙂 the last 2 days it has come right by our trailer while we were eating lunch. I had seen some birds earlier on a walk around the resort and asked Rich if they were roadrunners…when he saw them he told me they were actually quail. So as we were sitting in the sunshine (ok…I think I am rubbing the sunshine in a bit :)) eating and I saw this bird and asked if it was a roadrunner, Rich was very surprised when he looked and it was!! You will also see a photo of a mountain out across the desert that had SNOW on it.
