Capitol Reef National Park

We spent 2 nights at a campground in Capitol Reef NP that was just awesome.  Our back window looked out over an orchard and amphitheater that a herd of deer called home.  We thought it would be fun to take in the sites astride our bike … whoa…it was a bit cold…like REALLY cold!!!  Harley Dudes we are not!!  Capitol Reef is named for the mountains that are shaped like the capitol dome and because it is about 100 miles of solid rock like the reefs in the ocean. There was also a cute one room school house and petroglyphs here.   It did get down to about 28 at night…we were using all our propane just to stay warm!  Deciding that we needed to go where it was a bit warmer…we are heading west.
